Admiral's Wakeup Call - (8 pilots, 4 flights) The infamous Admiral Chekov's CVBG has been over-wintering at a port near Evenes. Intel says that the fleet is getting ready to set out to sea. Your mission is to destroy the fleet, and the admiral if you can. Your primary target is the admiral's flagship, the carrier Kuztnetsov. Since the port is neutral, try to minimize collateral damage. This mission has been optimized for multiplayer and psuedo-multiplayer (single player flying in MP mode). There are 3 friendly flights and 1 enemy flight you can choose to fly. Have a buddy step into the Mig-29 Fighter Intercept flight and try to stop you from bombing the fleet. |

Well now you have a chance when you fly the Gauntlet. Although the stated objective of the mission is to destroy a oil refinery, the real objective is to test your piloting skills flying at 200 feet and 450 knots as you manouver your way through a tortuous course lined with AAA and SAMs. After your touch down at your home base, you'll have to pry your hand off the joystick and wipe the sweat off your brow. Mother's Bad Day - (8 Pilots) While working on another mission, I found that I could track, lock on and fire A-A missiles at Russian anti-ship missiles. Since F-15 Bob and I wanted to make a mission like the anti-cruise missile mission in Jetfighter. We couldn't get a radar to track the cruise missile in F-15, so that mission was out. Finally, we can do it! This is just a designed-for-fun mission which will give you plenty to shoot at. You will be confronted with wave after wave of Shipwreck and Sandbox missiles. If you let any through, they will hit the carrier, their primary target. You're armed to the max with AIM-120's. There are 24 Super Hornets and 8 British Tornadoes "escorts" trying to stop the missiles. Hop into your Hornet, tightened your straps and get ready for pure fun. I suggest that you use Labels to help located those little buggers. |

Typhoon - One of our 688i subs has flashed a priority message stating that at 0700 hours, A Typhoon class sub trying to make it's way to the stratigic batsion in the north pole was succesfully attacked. The 688i under orders to hit-an-run, didn't re-attack. The Typhoon is currently limping back to the sub base at Polyarnyy. It's hull was severly damaged and it cannot submerge. This is a great oppurtunity to sink one of the Russian monsters. Go in and sink the Typhoon with anti-ship missiles. 2 escort ships from the Kutznetsov battle group have been seen with this striken sub. It looks like they will escort the sub until it meets another 2 escort ships that are currently steaming full speed to the Typhoon's position. Be careful of these ships as they carry a good armament of anti-aircraft type weapons. Russian CAP and Jammers are on full blast. Be careful out there. Taking full advantage of the weakend Kutznetsov escort group, We are launching a strike package to sink the Kutznetsov also. The Russians will be stretched to the limit. It looks like we can get a few hits. Maybe even sink that sucker. |

On 12th November 1944 the German warship Tirpitz was finally destroyed outside the island of "Håkøy", near the Norwegian city of Tromsø, after several previous attacks. British RAF launched the final attack using 32 Lancaster bombers, carrying "Tallboy" bombs, each 5400kg (12,000lb). Two of these bombs made direct hits, causing an ammunition storage explosion. The large German ship went down subsequently along with 1204 crewmembers. A total of 806 sailors survived. |

Operation Enduring Freedom - Mission Pack 1 -
This mission pack is based on the ongoing allied war against terrorism. You'll be flying an F-14 Tomcat. The missions are based on news information and Pentagon briefings. Each mission covers one day (fist mission is October 7). Some days wont be covered like October 12 when no strikes were carried out and days when it was limited strikes involving very few aircrafts (according to news reports).
During the missions you will fly very long distances (around 300-400 miles or more), you can make it back to the carrier with two external fuel tanks (480 gallon) if you don't use the afterburner too much. Air refueling can be tricky with the Tomcat in this game, but I've done it several times in auto-mode. I belive TSH have fixed it so you can refuel in the air with the Tomcat. If you prefer, you can just change the F-14 to the F/A-18E (in Mission Builder) and you will be able to refuel. More info in the briefings and an suggestion of what weapons you should use.
Miscellaneous:
It's prefered that you use the Desert Terrain or Rocky Terrain that comes with the F/A-18 Art Manager
I use the Desert Terrain.

Mass on the Drop Zone - (4 pilots - 1 Flight)
The Air Force wishes to forward deploy a squadron of F-15Es to Kilpyavr that are currently stationed at Kirkenes. Ramp space is extremely limited there and should the enemy launch an attack, the aircraft stationed there would be extremely vulnerable. We need to take down the airfield at Kilpyavr without damaging the runway. In order to take down the Airfield in the least amount of time, with the least amount of damage, a massive tactical airdrop of the 82nd Airborne is planned. Once on the ground these soldiers will secure the airfield and prepare it for the arrival of the F-15E squadron. |

Jumpers Away! - (4 pilots - 1 Flight)
To allow for accurate and timely follow on strikes a USAF C-130 has been tasked with inserting SEAL teams near the FEBA. Once on the ground, these special teams will serve as Forward Air Controllers, allowing our fighters to press home the attack on dug in sites. These SEALS will "hole -up" during daylight hours, and then emerge at night to lase targets and generally wreak havoc on the enemy. In order to get these teams behind enemy lines they will use High Altitude, High Opening tactics whereby they will jump from the C-130 at 20,000 feet and immediately deploy their chutes. They will then glide using precise GPS navigation, under the cover of darkness, to their designated landing zones approximately 20 NM behind enemy lines. If everything goes as planned they will be invisible to enemy radar and arrive at their designated objective areas unnoticed. To facilitate these drops the C-130 will have to fly high and slow, leaving it extremely vulnerable to enemy fire. |

You lead a 4-ship of F/A-18E HARM shooters against the GPS Pre-Briefed SAM targets, and air defense targets of opportunity. Your flight has been downed behind enemy lines. You've managed to elude capture and make your way to Yavir where under the cover of darkness you've stolen 4 SU-27s from the lightly defended airbase. And now the mission begins........... It's 5:20am local. Time to get these birds in the air and make the 207 mile dash to the closest Allied base (at Kiruna Sweden). The difficulty is that although you managed to let HQ know what time your coming, there will be no way to contact the CAPs patroling the border to Identify yourself as "friendly". The Naval command WILL send a four ship patrol to look for you but Air Force CAPs patrolling the area will probably not receive this info in time.

Seawitch - (4 Pilots - 2 Flight)
The Norwegian freighter "Seawitch" is several hours overdue. A serious storm at sea yesterday is blamed for the delay. The weather is clearing and the P3's are searching for the freighter as it has a high priority cargo. However, it has now been determined that the "Seawitch" experienced radio and navigational problems caused by storm damage and has wondered off course, and close to Red Russian territorial waters At sunset we received a message from the freighter
stating that it was under attack from several Russian FAC gunboats. The crew has somewhat disabled the ship which has now fallen under control of an enemy assault team. It is being escorted to the Russian Port of Polyarny. |

A wounded enemy sub is hiding out in the area. One of our own subs has located it. Unfortunately, radio contact has been disrupted just before coordinates were transmitted. Our own intelligence expert Jack Ryan, who came to fame in "Hunt for Red October", is in the sub
and awaiting to be lifted into a rescue helo standing by in the area. Once rescued, he will inform us of the enemy subs location. Secure his rescue and destroy the enemy sub. Jack Ryan has the same problem as Bruce Willis (Die Hard 1 & 2), being "in the right place at the wrong time".

Breathing Room - (2 pilots 1 flight) The enemy is using a supply dump at Andoya airfield to support their northwestern most attacks on our fleet. Taking out this supply dump is imperative if we are to enhance our presence off the northwest coast in the Norwegian Sea. We are unsure which building is being used to store their most important supplies so FAC Paratroopers will have to be inserted to locate the target in question. They have yet to fortify the air base so an immediate attack is necessary. We hope that taking out the supply dump will give us some breathing room in the area.

This mission has multiple tasks. The wing leader must command wingmen in order for mission to be a success. In the Northern Arctic sea russians have built a small base on the North island. Intel brought to us by the San Antonio has a russian attack planned - code name SUBmission. The island is heavily guarded with multiple SAMs (10, 13 & 15) and AAA linked by a Tin Shield EW unit. Air defense F-16 Sharks are already in flight and heading to island. FA-18 Ravens take out southwest building - and communicate with San Antonio, which is a drift in hostel waters wounded by a typhoon class sub. The russians are trying to sink the San Antonio. The captain and a small crew of the San Antonio are getting ready to take off in a SH-60 'Mackerek' and head to safety on the South island. A small repair crew will be staying behind to fix the San Antonio. No intel on A/A threats except a Mi-24 has been patrolling the area. If you see that sub that hit the San antonio - DESTROY IT!

R.A.S. - Russian Airshow Strike - (1 - 8 Pilots - 1 Flight) It seems they're having a military airshow in the city of Murmansk and a F117S replica is making a rare appearance. Your mission is to sneak in and take it out. 1st get your squad in formation. The sea border has a strong air defense set up, punch a hole in it
and make your way to the airshow airfields. There is a strong chance you will see some border patrolling Migs as well - stay sharp. As for the airfields themselves, there is no air defense setup, but mobile defense crews are near by in storage. An estimated time for them to deploy mobile defenses is about 3 to 5 mins. So don't take too long to locate and destroy the target (F117S). As for A/A in the area, all Red Russian planes are at the airshow, so locating the target will be a bit difficult. As for the planes themselves, they are all unarmed at the moment but we estimate that there Migs will be armed in 1 to 2 mins . Stay sharp. Once the target is destroyed return to the carrier - good luck.
